Book and Lyrics by Peter Spafford

It is 1386. In the small French town of Roumaisonne, where superstitions are rife, a pig is put on trial in a court of law for attacking a child. Will the pig be found guilty? The case splits the community. Based on a true story, A Pig's Tale is a larger-than-life comedy of dark dungeons, evil barons, raging floods and singing beasts, performed by a huge cast and crew of participants from schools, colleges and the wider community from across Ryedale, and produced by the familiar Community Opera team especially for this Festival.
