North Stars Steel Orchestra - Local musicians and street theatre

The Festival brings music to the heart of Malton’s Market Square with a series of informal performances. The wonderful North Stars Steel Orchestra from Huddersfield plays a huge range of music – from Handel, Puccini, Bach and Mozart to jazz (Count Basie, Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker), reggae, calypso, soca, bossa nova, funk and the calypso tunes from Trinidad. Young musicians and street artists from all over Ryedale will bring the square to life! free event.
