What links a castle, an abbey and an Elizabethan manor house? The RyeCrawl – a magical musical mystery tour! In this innovative piece of programming the audience will board buses at the meeting point and be taken on a tour of several lesser-known Ryedale gems.

At each venue you will find performers waiting to give you a short performance, so you will experience six mini-recitals in one day.

Music will range from Gregorian chant to jazz, taking in Vaughan Williams en route (to mark the 50th anniversary of his death); performers will include a brass band, choir, windquintet and string ensemble. Beyond that, all other details are a carefully guarded secret!

This is a wonderful way to explore venues in which we could otherwise not present concerts; every one is of unique interest and beauty, and the music will be appropriate to each venue.
