2009 Festival
Concert In your Kitchen -
Do you know anyone in Ryedale who is unable to get to a concert?
Do you know of someone who lives in Ryedale who would love live music but is unable to get to concerts? If you have a friend or neighbour who is housebound you will be able to nominate them for their own private concert.
During the period of the Festival, musicians who are performing in the Festival concerts will visit residents to play for them for ten minutes or so – the only payment being a cup of tea!
We will facilitate as many of these performances as possible, and are extremely grateful to all those musicians who have already agreed to take part in this project – a very exciting innovation through which we really can ensure that everyone has a chance of access to excellent music live.
Ryedale is a vast district, embracing the Vale of Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors; this year will see this project and the RyeCrawl focussed on the northern area, moving elsewhere in future years.
Please send nominations by post (Ryedale Festival, The Memorial Hall, Potter Hill, Pickering, N. Yorks YO18 8AA) or by email to rftboxoffice@aol.com
