Coffee concert 3 - Chris Bradley, cimbalom

Principal percussionist of Opera North, Chris Bradley is in great demand as a player of the cimbalom, a traditional instrument of Hungary and Eastern Europe which is related to the zither, hammered dulcimer and Persian santoor. In addition to Hungarians Bartók, Kodály and Kurtág, composers such as Stravinsky and Birtwistle have written for the instrument.

In this recital Chris will demonstrate the magical sounds of this beautiful instrument in the peaceful setting of Lastingham Church.
