‘Forthright, full-blooded musicians, afraid of nothing’ (The Times) – the Barbirolli Quartet is most definitely an ensemble to watch.

Joe Cutler’s short and sparky Folk Music won the 2008 British Composer Awards chamber category; Haydn’s virtuosic quartet incorporates the dancing Allegretto alla zingarese, and together with masterpieces by Janáček and Brahms this makes for a wonderful programme.
