The Fitzwilliam Quartet are joined by two close colleagues for a programme featuring musical depictions of journeys to Spain and Italy by two of the great Russian Romantics. These are set alongside Schubert’s Quintet in C major, written just two months before his death and widely thought to be one of the greatest achievements in the whole chamber music repertoire.
