'From Rags to Ryedale' - A History of Ragtime - Lecture Recital by Helen Crayford (piano)

Wearing appropriate costumes from the years 1890-1940, Helen Crayford, a leading exponent of Ragtime piano, performs virtuoso, syncopated piano solos by composers ranging from Scott Joplin and Jelly Roll Morton to 'Fats' Waller and Billy Mayerl. Entertaining us with the illuminating stories behind the music, Helen traces the story of Ragtime and its transformation into early Jazz.
