Unfortunately Ben Johnson, has had to pull out of this performance due to illness.  However, the baritone Benedict Nelson has kindly stepped in at short notice.

Benedict Nelson is one of the most promising singers of his generation. A protegée of Sir Thomas Allen and a Samling Foundation scholar, he already has a number of roles under his belt and has won unanimous praise from the critics.

Here he sings songs by the early Lieder composers and in  the final, a collection of  Schubert’s songs – Schwanengesang.

Coffee will be served from 11.00 - 11.30 a.m.
